Is it COVID 19 or Allergies?

Dr Rubina Azam MD

I get asked by patients all the times, how do we know its allergies and no COVID 19?

We are having sneezing, sore throat, runny eyes and we are so worried that its coronavirus?

My answer to them is: If every year around this time, you get itchy and unny eyes, itchy nose, scratchy throat , and you have not been 3exposed to anyone sick and have not travelled recently , then it's most probably your allergies.

However if you are running a fever, have a cough or difficulty breathing, then please get it checked out to make sure it's not any sort of infection.
